A Warm Contemporary City Apartment,
West Hollywood
This home was designed to feel inviting, intentional, and effortlessly lived-in. Contemporary shapes and sculptural silhouettes, like the rounded curves of the chenille sectional, anchor the space, softening the layout while encouraging comfort and conversation. Natural textures play a central role throughout, with raw stone surfaces, subtle marbling, and warm woods adding depth and tactility.
A complementary color palette of warm reds, deep greens, layered taupes, and creamy neutrals is punctuated by black accents, creating contrast without overpowering the space. All large-scale artwork was custom commissioned from local West Hollywood artists, thoughtfully selected to echo and enhance the home’s palette, materials, and furnishings.
Unique, non-hardwired lighting solutions—including a rattan plug-in ceiling fixture and wall-mounted candle sconces—add character and warmth while allowing for flexibility. With no wall left white, the goal was to infuse this compact 1,000-square-foot home with personality, ensuring each room feels distinct yet connected.
Through a thoughtful, methodical flow of color, texture, and form, the space was transformed into a calm, personal, and welcoming home—perfect for both everyday living and gathering.
